Essential Job Functions
- Conduct initial and follow up care
- Participate in all Aurora Health Services, LLC provider training
- Be willing to accept appointments as a rotating member of the practice
- Develop, schedule and implement high quality treatment that adheres to evidence based practices
- Adhere to Aurora Health Services, LLC clinical quality parameters and counselling practice guidelines
- Comply with federal HIPAA regulations
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to adhere to the areas of regulatory compliance, professional standards and ethical practices
- Maintain adequate and complete administrative documentation per visit
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage Family studies or related field from an accredited program
- A valid unrestricted independent Pennsylvania License
- Must have experience as an independently licensed certified professional counselor
- Must have experience working with individual, family or couples
- Must have experience working with a diverse population or demographics
- Strong communication, documentation and diagnosing skills
- Familiarity with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tablets
- Extensive knowledge of community resources, support networks and local self-help groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
- High degree of organizational skills
- Ongoing commitment to continued education and attendance at professional workshops, trainings and conferences
Preferred Skills
- Advanced training and experience in cognitive behavioral therapy
- Experience working with the healthcare needs of diverse populations
- Proficiency in a second language
- Proficiency in utilizing PC-based system application and reporting packages, especially Microsoft Office and EMR
- General understanding of employer-based and individual insurance products
